# Core concepts

Common Liberty terms and concepts used across the platform.

## Core concepts

These terms appear throughout the Liberty documentation.

Understanding them early makes the rest of the platform easier to navigate.

### Portals

Liberty separates work by role through dedicated portals.

Admins configure the platform. Agents handle live work. Supervisors monitor operations. Clients review service activity and client or account details.

### Clients and accounts

Clients represent the customer relationship your answering service supports.

Accounts represent the operational entities under each client.

Account setup usually includes a phone number, scripts, messaging behavior, Oncall details, and related workflow controls.

### People and roles

* **Admins** manage setup, control, and configuration.
* **Supervisors** monitor operations and team performance.
* **Agents** handle calls, messages, and digital work.
* **Users or clients** access the client-facing portal for visibility and self-service.

### Scripts and sheets

Scripts guide agents through consistent call and message handling.

Sheets, FAQs, and related content help standardize information capture and service quality across accounts.

### Messages and dispatching

Messages are a core Liberty workflow. They often connect to scripting, delivery rules, dispatch actions, acknowledgements, and client visibility.

### Oncall calendar

Oncall calendar controls who should be reached, when they should be reached, and how escalation should work.

It supports contact management, events, schedules, and escalation chains.

### Skills, reporting, and logs

Skills help organize work and routing. Reporting and logs help supervisors and admins review operational performance, activity, and outcomes.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://www.kauneonga.com/docs/platform-basics/markdown.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
